When asked if he recommends SEJ membership for his colleagues, Bassam said, "I recommend that fellow journalists around the world (and in particular the Middle East and North Africa) join SEJ, where they can develop their skills and connections and find the resources and support they need. I also recommend applying for the global SEJ Awards and participating in its prestigious annual conferences." Join us — apply for SEJ membership.
