Rebecca Leber, Active-Category Candidate 2022

Dear SEJ members,

I've had the opportunity of meeting so many talented and dedicated environmental journalists through SEJ. The organization's trainings and development opportunities have helped me grow in my career. I'd like to now do the same for others by serving on the board.

Michael Kodas — SEJ Board Candidate Statement

As a board member of the Society of Environmental Journalists for the past three years, I have worked to help the organization and its members evolve to better respond to the challenges faced by both the planet where we live and to the journalism landscape in which we work.

Bruce Finley, Active-Category Candidate 2022

Dear SEJ members,

This is to offer my service and ask to be considered for a term on the board for the Society of Environmental Journalists. SEJ has seldom mattered more and it would be an honor to help guide this organization.

I envision an SEJ able to fulfill roles newsrooms once played as hubs for support, camaraderie and encouragement for journalists engaged in a difficult mission. SEJ in some sense would "have your back" in an era where, with more journalists likely to be working independently, the traditional backup provided by editors may diminish.
