Book Reading/Author Talk in Flagstaff, AZ
The Coconino Center for the Arts in Flagstaff will be sponsoring an exhibit and series of events in September and October titled Beyond the Border. As part of those events SEJ member Krista Schlyer will be speaking about the exhibit she created with photographers from the International League of Conservation Photographers, and about her new book Continental Divide: Wildlife, People, and the Border Wall, due out October 1.
The book is a collection of photos, stories and research about the US-Mexico borderlands over the past 8 years. Schlyer will be joined by Daniel Millis, Sierra Club borderlands coordinator, who will be discussing the impact of US border policy on wildlife and wild lands along the border.
