"Democrats and Republicans in the Senate reached an agreement on a biennial water resources bill that largely shuns the proposals that President Donald Trump put forth in his $1.5 trillion infrastructure proposal.
The Senate bill, unveiled May 8, authorizes the Army Corps of Engineers to start or continue working on dozens of reservoir and flood control projects across the country, while also broadening how utilities can use Environmental Protection Agency grant money."
