Webinar: Journalist Briefing on the Climate-Development Nexus — Supporting Local Stories with Global Data
Drawdown Lift, a program of the US NGO Project Drawdown, is hosting "Journalist Briefing on the Climate-Development Nexus: Supporting Local Stories with Global Data," a background briefing for reporters who cover the climate-development nexus in African and South Asian countries. On the call, we will share a summary of our landmark Climate-Poverty Connections report, which examines five groups of climate mitigation solutions that generate co-benefits for human well-being and climate adaptation in low- and middle-income countries. The climate solution groups include improving agriculture and agroforestry, protecting and restoring ecosystems, adopting clean cooking, providing clean electricity, and fostering equality. After a short presentation during which we will share key highlights from the report, we will have ample time for questions. We are eager to serve as a resource for your reporting and support local stories with global data and analysis.
