SEJ Toronto Pub Night
Time for another Society of Environmental Journalists/Canadian Science Writers' Association Toronto pub night.
SEJ member Stephen Leahy has a new book out called "Your Water Footprint: The Shocking Facts About How Much Water We Use To Make Everyday Products," which will make a good conversation-starter at a long-overdue SEJ/CSWA pub night. Stephen has agreed to give us a short talk on just how much water went into the making of our booze, burgers and blue jeans.
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 26
Place: The Caledonian on College, just west of Ossington.
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Some journalists have asked that we revive the tradition of inviting science-savvy speakers (scientists, activists, authors, etc.) to give a brief talk at our pub nights. If there is someone you are eager to hear, drop me a line. Not every gathering needs a feature speaker, but it would be fun to sprinkle in some now and then.
Hope to see you Nov. 26.
