ECH 2023 Climate Solutions Symposium: Texas, the Energy Capital of the Planet, Can and Should Lead
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, the Engineering, Science and Technology Council of Houston (ECH) will host the 2nd Climate Solutions Symposium: Texas, the Energy Capital of the Planet, Can and Should Lead. The 1st Symposium was held virtually on August 22, 2020.
This half-day symposium will be held at the University of Houston Student Center Theater [4455 University Dr #103/203, Houston, TX 77204] on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 1:00-4:00pm, followed by a Meet-and-Greet in the Student Center’s Ballroom, 4:00-5:30pm.
The symposium will feature three important climate solution initiatives, the Sustainable Energy Corps, Let’s Make Texas More Reliable and Cleaner, and Global Solutions and Outreach Programs.
How do we best resolve global warming? We must transition to carbon-neutral energy properly, or globally we could fritter away $275 trillion by 2050 without solving our existential problem. If that happens, then what will we do? These three complementary initiatives will mobilize engineers, scientists, and experts in macroeconomics, social sciences, and policy, to figure out how best to solve the most complex problem humanity has ever faced.
Cost is $10 for in-person and $10 for virtual streaming. Virtual Registration will CLOSE on Friday April 21st. Student registration is free using discount code [student2023]. This is entered after selecting the $10 charge and clicking NEXT to enter the discount code in the box on the succeeding page.
