DEADLINE: Tiny News Collective
Tiny News Collective opens applications for the second cohort
Tiny News Collective is ready to support six new organizations. The application for the second group of founders will remain open until January 9, 2022. The first cohort of founders have successfully launched their organizations. You can read an update about their work here.
Applications Close: January 9, 2022
Invitations to join the collective will be made in February.
Just like the inaugural application process, this time we have business planning workshops and have added detailed content on the website and Twitter aimed at helping founders to assess their current stand and feel confident about their application. The application is designed to help the founders have a deeper understanding of the workflow of their news organization and clarity on the business side. This will come in handy with or without being a member of the TNC.
Tiny News Collective’s mission is to make critical support more accessible to first time founders that are underrepresented in the news landscape. From mentors to business tools to access to capital, we’re equipping passionate storytellers with the same toolkit that “traditional” founders take for granted.
